Start with destination eligibility
A poultry enquiry is defined by both product and destination. Before comparing price, identify the exact producing plant, species, cut and whether that plant and product are eligible for the buyer’s market. Requirements can differ by country and change over time.
Specify the commercial item
State bone and skin status, portion weight range, freezing method, pack size, carton marking, expected volume and destination port. If Halal is needed, request the current certificate and product scope for the actual producing facility. Credentials from an unrelated vegetable or potato site cannot be applied to poultry.
Confirm documents and cold chain
Request the plant identity, current export approval, product specification, inspection and health documents required by the destination. Agree frozen storage, loading and transit conditions in the purchase contract. TPJ reviews poultry projects separately before a supply commitment.
Use this checklist as a discussion guide. Product availability, technical values, certification scope and destination eligibility are confirmed for each selected item and producing facility.
